When you can renew

A motor vehicle licence may be renewed from the date the renewal notice is issued, and the disc must be valid before the current one expires.

There is a grace period after expiry, but driving on an expired disc during that period still carries risk, and penalties accumulate monthly once it closes.

What you need

Your identity document, proof of residential address, the renewal notice or your current licence disc details, and payment.

If the vehicle is financed or registered to a company, the titleholder details must match the register.
