When you would use the CNV

  • An engine has been replaced and the engine number changed
  • A recorded vehicle detail is incorrect on the registration certificate
  • A vehicle description must be updated after modification

  • Identification of the person or organisation (ID number, or business/traffic register number for a company)
  • Vehicle identification (licence number, VIN/chassis, engine number, make and model)
  • The particulars being changed and the correct values
  • Supporting evidence such as an affidavit or certificate
